LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Limestone County judge has denied bond for a man charged with randomly shooting a motorcyclist.

A judge issued a court-appointed attorney Tuesday for 20-year-old Noah McGlawn. He is charged with attempted murder.

District Attorney Brian Jones during a bond hearing said McGlawn is a danger to the public and should not be released. Investigators said McGlawn admitted he shot Brandon Matlock last week as Matlock was riding his motorcycle on Highway 72 in Athens. McGlawn pulled into a gas station in Decatur where he called police and told him he has shop Matlock. Decatur Police arrested him at the scene.

McGlawn's preliminary hearing is set for October 2.
