DOTHAN, AL (AP) -
Federal agents are joining in the search for a pregnant teenage girl who was reportedly abducted in Dothan.
Dothan police Sgt. Rachel David said FBI agents were now working on the reported kidnapping of 15-year-old Ailene Lander.
Authorities are looking for her and her stepfather, 36-year-old Charles Dean Partin.
David said the girl was reportedly abducted by the man on Monday after she was taken to a doctor's appointment at Southeast Alabama Medical Center by an employee with the Alabama Department of Human Resources.
Investigators said they drove off in an older two-tone light blue over dark blue 1994 Mercury Villager van Alabama tag #34B26K3 or #38D18W2.
David said authorities believe the teenage girl and her stepfather may also be accompanied by her mother, Julie Bethke, and five siblings.
They think Partin may be taking her to Mexico.
