HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A 17-year-old who was shot in the head on Eastbrook Drive died at the hospital.
Police said Damon Gross and two other friends were walking down the street when a vehicle approached them and started shooting around 9 p.m.
Officers said they arrived on the scene and found Gross unresponsive, lying in the street close to a mailbox.
He was taken to Huntsville Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
Police are looking for an older model four door Honda, possibly purple in color. The shooting remains under investigation.
Witnesses said they heard shots fired earlier during the day.
