RAINSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the August 24th shooting at Fred's.
Matt Whitt and Josh Nance were seriously injured when a man in a ski mask tried to enter the store after closing. The man shot Whitt and Nance through the front door and fled on foot.
DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said a supporter who wishes to remain anonymous offered the $5,000 reward.
"We are really excited about this news and feel very blessed to have the support of someone so generous and willing to offer such a large reward," said Sheriff Harris. "We feel that there is someone out there who knows who committed this crime and I believe the reward can possibly lead to an arrest."
Anyone with information about the case should call the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office at 256-845-3801.
