Top UA prospect arrested on rape, sodomy charges

BALDWIN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A four-star prospect for the University of Alabama was arrested on rape and sodomy charges.

Deon "DJ" Johnson was arrested Thursday on second degree rape and second degree sodomy charges.

Johnson played wide receiver for Spanish Fort High School.

He was ranked number nine of the state's prospects. Johnson committed to Alabama in April.

He was released from the Baldwin County Jail on $20,000 bond.
