Sheriff: Woman forges name to get hydrocodone

One woman was arrested after deputies received a complaint at a Jackson County pharmacy.

Deputies responded to the scene Wednesday for a complaint of a suspicious prescription.

Investigation revealed that Kristi Phillips of Sylvania had forged another person's name to pick up a prescription of hydrocodone.

Phillips was located and found with pills. She was arrested and charged with forgery second degree, possession of controlled substance and theft second degree.

She is in the Jackson County Jail on $8,500 bond.
