Traffic stop leads to meth bust


A Paint Rock man was found in possession of drugs during a traffic stop.

Sheriff's deputies reported stopping a vehicle on Merrill Mountain Road for a traffic violation.

The deputy found the driver, 34-year-old James Guthrie, in possession of a syringe containing meth and drug paraphernalia.

Guthrie was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphemine. He remains in the Marshall County Jail without bond.
