UNA Gets 4-1 Soccer Win at Union


JACKSON, Tenn. -- For the second time in two matches this season, Chloe Roberts got a hat-trick, scoring three goals and adding an assist in the University of North Alabama's 4-1 women's soccer win over Union University.

Roberts scored both first half goals for UNA, putting the ball in the net in the sixth and 14th minutes. She then assisted on Jennifer Osmond's goals at the 40:30 mark and extended UNA's ;ead to 4-0 with her final goal at the 76:26 mark.

The Lions allowed their first goal of the season defensively when Union's Hannah Miller scored at 78:51 to make the final count 4-1.

"We played a very good team and were able to take the advantage early on," UNA head coach Graham Winkworth said. "We had a couple of lapses near the end and we will need to work on that before our match Sunday."

Roberts also had a hat-trick in UNA's season-opening win over Tennessee Wesleyan and six goals this season and 85 for her career.

Schyler Arnold spent 90 minutes in goal for the Lions as UNA out-shot Union 12-7.

UNA plays at Alabama-Huntsville Sunday at 2 p.m.
