MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A Marshall County health inspector reported three critical violations at El Rinconcito in Albertville as the restaurant scored a 79 during their most recent health inspection.
The inspector reported potentially hazardous cold-holding foods were not held cold enough in a cooler. The inspector recorded the items between 48 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit, above the maximum 41 degree temperature required to prevent bacterial growth. The inspector also reported that cooked rice was held between 115 and 125 degrees, below the required 135 degree temperature for hot-holding foods. There were also loose wires on fryer baskets.
A Madison County inspector reported no major violations at the Sun Cafe in Huntsville, but they did discover enough small infractions to hand them an 80.
A Marshall County health inspector handed the bakery at La Orquidea in Albertville an 82. The inspector reported some cleaning issues with utensils not being sanitized and pastry cutters not being cleaned in between uses.
