A slight risk for severe weather has been posted for the Valley by the Storm Prediction Center for tonight into very early tomorrow morning.
Remnants of Isaac expected to bring in the potential for severe weather late today and into tonight. Some storms may produce straight-line damaging winds, frequent lightning, torrential rainfall, and isolated tornadoes as well. Our tornado threat is on the low end for now.
Storms should begin to weaken and dissipate overnight but redevelopment is possible tomorrow. Afternoon highs Monday will once again be around 90.
As Isaac washes out, rain chances for us go way down Tuesday through Friday. Skies will mainly be partly sunny with highs around 90 and overnight temperatures in the lower 70s.
A strong cold front moves in for the weekend and ups chances for showers and storms again on Saturday. But then we clear out in time for Sunday. Highs and lows next weekend will be much affected by this next system. Afternoon temperatures will be in the low mid 80s and overnight temperatures fall off into the low and mid 60s.
