A Marshall County health inspector reported three critical violations at the Waffle House on Miller Avenue in Guntersville as the restaurant scored a 77.
The inspector reported that there were no paper towels anywhere in the Waffle House, a hygienic practices violation. The inspector discovered broken and cracked cutting boards. They also reported that ham and hash browns were stored just above the maximum temperature required to prevent bacterial growth in cold-holding foods
Bubba Ritos in Guntersville scored a 79. The health inspector reported pork held below the required hot-holding temperature, grease being poured directly into a solid waste dumpster and there was no food safety-certified manager on staff.
The Boaz Food Mart scored an 83. The health inspector reported hot wings were held below the required hot-holding temperature and there were open employee drinks on a storage shelf and in a cooler.
The Long Branch Lounge in Huntsville scored an 83. A Madison County health inspector reported they did not have any equipment to wash dishes and silverware and the inside of the ice machine needed a good scrubbing.
