$1.5 million worth of meth seized

The DeKalb County Drug Task force seized more than $1.5 million in meth after raiding a mobile home in Collinsville. Investigators say that equals 33 pounds of methamphetamine.

The home is on County road 354. Investigators say it appears to be a stash house used for packaging and distribution.

No arrests have been made in this case.

DeKalb County Sheriff JImmy Harris says this is the largest meth bust in DeKalb County. Agents got help from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, Albertville Police, the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, the DEA, and FBI.

Harris said, "It's great when you have so many folks working together for a common goal.  The amount of ice we were able to keep off the street is significant.  We're going to continue our fight against drugs, with zero tolerance, and I hope that people will continue to call and let us know if they see suspicious activity of any kind in their neighborhoods."
