HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A wreck on Winchester Road seriously injured two people and blocked traffic completely eastbound.
Police responded to the accident on Winchester and Meridian Street around 6:45 a.m. Officials said a car and a truck carrying lawn equipment collided.
Two people had to be extracted from the vehicles.
Officials said two people received serious injuries, and one person received minor injuries.
Traffic was blocked eastbound on Winchester Road. Crews are working to clear the scene.
No names have been released, and the cause of the accident is unknown.
