HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Two brand new Huntsville City schools opened their doors Monday.
Students set foot for the very first time on the campuses of Lee-New Century Technology High School and Blossomwood Elementary.
School leaders are touting Lee-New Century Tech as the school that has everything a student could want.
Not only is the building and everything inside of it brand new, but the upgrade in seating and classroom capacity, give the school a "college feel."
The campus also, has Wi-Fi virtually everywhere.
Many may be wondering how this new school will operate, since it's technically combined, but still has both names and both principals.
"The challenge is to not have separate identities, but at the same time hold on to what is unique at each school," explained New Century Technology Principal Stewart Thorson.
School officials realize things could get a little hectic, with so many new things on hand: new hallways to navigate and new technology to power up, so they are asking everyone to please be patient.
