A back to school bash was held for kids in Huntsville Saturday.
The Huntsville Police Department held the 2nd annual Community Awareness for Youth event at the fairgrounds and Jaycees building.
Kids and their families had the chance to interact with law enforcement officers from several agencies, firefighters, HEMSI emergency workers, military personnel, and educators
and there were all kinds of free activities, food and entertainment.
"It's just a moment for the city of Huntsville to come together to show each other how much we care about our youth and their success," said Huntsville P. D. Spokesperson Dr. Harry Hobbs.
Organizers said the program is designed to make young people aware of the four pillars of success-health, physical fitness, education and careers.
