Firefighters respond to laundry room fire at Westgate Apartments

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A laundry room caught fire at an apartment complex in Huntsville overnight.

Officials responded to the Westgate Apartment Complex on Pizitz Drive around 1 a.m.

Firefighters got the flames out quickly, but they are still trying to determine if a dryer sparked the fire or if an electrical problem is to blame.

Officials said there were about a dozen dryer units in the building.

No one was injured.
