A newborn baby is in the custody of DHR after it tested positive to oxycodone.
Officials said the baby is in the hospital improving after it tested positive for the pain medication at Helen Keller Hospital August 9. They said the baby is going through withdrawals.
The Franklin County Department of Human Resources notified police after the baby tested positive.
28-year-old Rachael Gaudio of Russellville was arrested Wednesday and charged with chemical endangerment of a child.
Police said Gaudio admitted to taking Percocet and lortabs during pregnancy.
