LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Firefighters responded to a house fire in Limestone County.
The fire broke out Wednesday night on Burgreen Road.
Investigators believe the fire started in the basement but went up through a chase in the wall and into the attic.
"We have been looking for the hot spots that are burning in the insulation and burning along the roof rafters and the roof joist in the attic and extinguishing them as we find them," said Chief Joey Boyd, East Limestone Fire Department.
Officials said there was fire and water damage throughout the house.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters worked to extinguish a house fire in Limestone County on Wednesday night.
Officials believe the fire started in the basement.
