HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

To borrow a football term, a thief thought he'd made a successful "run to glory," but we're throwing a penalty flag for illegal use of the hands.

He used those hands to steal some football memorabilia. You can put him on the bench with your tips.

Our suspect is a man wearing a Georgia cap, a "Sons of Anarchy" t-shirt and black rimmed glasses.

He's seen on surveillance camera in University Collectibles in Madison Square Mall in Huntsville on April 23rd stealing a football autographed by Auburn Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton, as well as some photographs autographed by several Alabama players.

Store surveillance video showed him walking around the store holding a backpack. He stuffed the items into that backpack.

If you know who this guy is, you'll be signing your autograph on the back of a check when you deposit your reward money for turning him in.

Just make the anonymous phone call to 256-53-CRIME.

You can also go to waff.com, click on Crime Stoppers then go to the Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers link to see how to e-mail or text your anonymous tips.

There's up to a thousand dollars waiting for you if he's caught.
