DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
A suspicious person complaint led to the arrest of a Hillsboro woman for drug possession.
Officers said they responded to the complaint in the area of 5th Avenue in Decatur August 13. Officers said they located Ashley Gabbard behind a residence.
Reports stated the officers found two syringes loaded with methamphetamine in Gabbard's purse. They also found ammonium nitrate, lithium batteries and lighter fluid: ingredients used to make meth.
Gabbard was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $3,000.
