HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A Huntsville man has been arrested on kidnapping charges.
7-year-old Marlon Osborne told police he was playing in the area of Patton Road when 34-year-old Harocio Hernandez pulled him into his apartment.
"He pulled me into the house and I was holding onto the thing by the door. He asked me what my name was I said Marlon Osborne then he just went to the kitchen to get a knife," said Marlon.
When Hernandez left the room, the boy escaped and told his family. His uncle tried confronting the man before calling the police.
Marlon's father said he was shopping for back to school shoes for his son last night and Marlon stayed behind to play in the apartment complex.
Hernandez was arrested and charged with kidnapping second degree. His bond has not been set.
