HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Tuesday marks the first full day of the Space and Missile Defense Conference at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville. Speakers from several federal government organizations are scheduled to talk about the threats facing the United States.
Officials from Lockheed Martin also plan to give an update about programs supporting the country's missile defense systems during the conference. Leaders from the Army, Air Force and Navy will talk about the problems facing our armed forces.
"Industry is here to hear that and then also be able to present some solutions that they're working on," said Robert Dowling, SMD Conference Co-Chair. "It just gives all those folks who are involved in the development of those technologies an opportunity to collaborate and develop more capability for the warfighter."
