HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Maurice King was found guilty of a 2011 bank robbery.
The jury reached a verdict Friday. Maurice King robbed the Regions Bank in Meridianville in April 2011.
Investigators said King and David Lewis Fifer, both from Memphis, Tennessee, robbed the bank and fled the scene in a silver Honda Civic.
After a police pursuit, the suspects crashed the stolen rental car in a cemetery in Winchester, Tennessee.
This is the first bank robbery trial in Madison County in more than two decades. In the past, federal prosecutors handled bank robberies.
King will be sentenced on August 23. He faces life in prison without parole.
