DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
A woman posing as a nurse was arrested Thursday when she allegedly tried to order pills from a Walgreens pharmacy.
Officers were informed that a woman called the Walgreens on 6th Avenue in Decatur and tried to order hydrocodone for Heather Nance.
When the employee called the doctor's office to confirm the prescription, the doctor and nurse both denied making the call.
When Nance arrived to pick up the pills, officers responded to the scene. It was determined that Nance called as the nurse and did not have a prescription for the pills.
She was arrested and charged with attempt to commit a controlled substance crime. She was booked in the count jail on $2,500 bond.
