ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A Boaz man has been arrested and charged with murder in the stabbing death of Billy Wayne Glassco, Jr.
38-year-old Sean Ray Blanks and 27-year-old Elizabeth Burns were arrested at Boogie Bottoms in Blount County Wednesday afternoon. Blanks was the subject of an intense search spanning four counties since Glassco's death.
Glassco was found dead inside his Albertville home on August 1 from an apparent stab wound. Investigators said the two men had been in a fight that led to the stabbing.
Blanks, a convicted sex offender, was arrested on charges stemming from sex offender registration violations. Later, he was charged with murder. His bond was set at $276,000.
Officials said Burns was present at the time of the murder and helped Blanks escape. She was charged with hindering prosecution, harboring a fugitive and harboring a sex offender. Her bond was set at $100,500.
