HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
In a video uploaded to YouTube, it appears a woman uses a stun gun to discipline her children in front of the Madison County Court House.
The video was uploaded on August 2, 2012, but the trees on the square don't have leaves on them, making it clear the video wasn't taken in the summer.
The man who recorded the incident appears to be sitting outside of a pizza restaurant on North Side Square across from the courthouse after eating a meal. When the woman gets inside the car with her young children, it sounds like she uses a stun gun on them. A short scream can be heard after what sounds like a stun gun being discharged.
During the incident, the man never intervenes. He tells another person that he doesn't intend to do anything but upload the video to the internet.
At one point, a Madison County Sheriff's car passes by, but no one flags down the deputy.
It's unclear from the video who the woman is. WAFF 48 News is working to determine if any criminal charges could possibly be filed as result of the incident. We are also working to find out if the incident was faked.
