Two fired Fyffe police officers are suing the city again.

Their lawsuit claims wrongful termination. The complaint said the officers were due a fair and impartial due process hearing, but what they got was not fair or impartial.

An attorney for Brian Warren and Anthony Majusiak filed an amended complaint of wrongful termination on Monday.

Last month, the officers filed suit against the mayor, claiming she had a personal vendetta against them.

Two days later, the mayor sent letters to both officers informing them of her intent to fire them.

Last week, a due process hearing was held in front of the city council and the mayor, but the council never voted to keep or fire the officers. Instead, the mayor sent a letter to the officers the next day saying they were fired.

The attorney in the complaint stated the Supreme Court has held that if the mayor or council member had a predetermination to uphold a discharge before evidence was presented, that denies the officer due process.

Mayor Katy Woodall has yet to respond to the case.

No hearing date has been set.
