HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville
Police continue to investigate a shooting death from Monday.
The
shooting took place on Governor's Drive Monday morning. Investigators said the
victim was shot inside his car.
Authorities
said two groups got into a fight over a girl at a nearby nightclub. They got
into separate vehicles and left. One car shot at another and fatally wounded a
man inside.
The
Huntsville Police said they can't comment on an ongoing investigation. They did
say they are in the process of interviewing several people who may have
information in the case.
Huntsville
has had at least four homicides in 2012 alone.
A
neighbor found Delois Lightford with two gunshot wounds to the back of the head
on June 8. The case remains unsolved.
Following
a fight outside Benchwarmers on July 5, someone shot into a crowd and killed 20-year-old
Isis Pitts. The case is still under investigation.
On July
26, 37-year-old Michael Button was fatally shot by his father. His father
admitted to the shooting, but no charges have been filed.
