HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville Police continue to investigate a shooting death from Monday.

The shooting took place on Governor's Drive Monday morning. Investigators said the victim was shot inside his car.

Authorities said two groups got into a fight over a girl at a nearby nightclub. They got into separate vehicles and left. One car shot at another and fatally wounded a man inside.

The Huntsville Police said they can't comment on an ongoing investigation. They did say they are in the process of interviewing several people who may have information in the case.

Huntsville has had at least four homicides in 2012 alone.

A neighbor found Delois Lightford with two gunshot wounds to the back of the head on June 8. The case remains unsolved.

Following a fight outside Benchwarmers on July 5, someone shot into a crowd and killed 20-year-old Isis Pitts. The case is still under investigation.

On July 26, 37-year-old Michael Button was fatally shot by his father. His father admitted to the shooting, but no charges have been filed.
