Jail visitors to be fingerprinted according to new policy

MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Changes will be implemented for people planning on visiting an Alabama prison.

Beginning immediately, visitors will have their fingerprints scanned for security purposes. Prison officials said the new system will improve security by verifying visitor identities.

Some state officials said they are not comfortable with fingerprinting people who have not broken laws.
