HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville Police are wrapping up a three day
crime fighting seminar Saturday.
Huntsville Police teamed up with the
Community Watch Association for the classes. Their goal was to keep the
community informed about local crime.
They offered prevention tips and public
safety to make sure the community is prepared.
"This is a way for them to get involved in
public safety and crime prevention. This also deals with social interaction,
quality of life. Some of the things we normally don't deal with or might not
seem as it's very important in our neighborhood, this is a good way to address
those minor things," said Art Hushen, President of the National Institute
of Crime Prevention.
The last session begins at 9 a.m. at Columbia
High School. All Huntsville residents are welcome to attend.
