HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Four men arrested for a pharmacy robbery in New Market are being investigated for similar crimes in Huntsville, Limestone and Madison Counties according to the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
Clarence Edward Turner, Davaron Antoine Love, Tavaris McCartney and Cordaryl Turner are currently being held without bond after their arrest for the July 31st holdup at the New Market Pharmacy on Winchester Road.
"We're working other leads right now," said Madison County Investigator Brent Patterson.
The four suspects are currently charged with two counts of first degree robbery involving the holdup in New Market where shots were fired.
Limestone County has already obtained a warrant for Turner in connection to a robbery at Joe's Pharmacy in the eastern part of the county.
Patterson says he's hopeful of getting additional warrants on the four suspects to close out the investigation in other pharmacy robberies.
"The drug of choice right now is prescription medication," said Patterson. "It's an epidemic right now."
