HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A suspected Louisiana murderer was arrested by the U.S. Marshal Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
The Fugitive Task Force along with the Huntsville STAC unit took 18-year-old Brandon Francois into custody from a home on Pecan Grove Road in Huntsville Wednesday night.
Francois has warrants for second degree murder and second degree attempted murder. He is a suspect in a shooting that killed one person and critically wounded another in Hammonds Louisiana Monday.
Larry Smith, 21, of Hammond, died from a gunshot wound to the head. An unidentified 24-year-old man was critically wounded and is hospitalized in Baton Rouge, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's deputies said.
