DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
The Decatur Police Department sent a dive team to the Tennessee River.
Officials said the divers were part of a shooting investigation that took place on Main Street July 28.
Officials received specific information regarding the location of the weapon used. The search was in the area of Washington and Davis Street.
During the search, multiple guns were recovered.
The divers were part of the Morgan County Rescue Squad and Morgan County Sheriff's Office.
The guns will be sent to the Alabama Department of Forensics Sciences for ballistics comparison.
