FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -
Florence Police are tracking down an armed robber.
The offender robbed Jen's Cafe on Wood Avenue Wednesday morning. The owner
told police she was in the back working when the man came in, pointed a gun at
her and demanded money.
No customers were inside and the owner was not injured.
Police said the man was dressed all in black with his face covered. Police
are using K9 units to search for the robber.
Many business owners in the area said the robbery was too close for comfort.
"That's
scary. That's pretty bold someone just to walk in in the middle of the day and
rob a business like that and almost at a time when there's a lot of customers
there and it's remarkable that we didn't see anything. I wish I had," said
Garry Maham, owner of Security Lock & Key.
Florence
Police ask anyone with information on the robbery to contact the police
department.
