Storms moving through the Shoals damaged the Cherokee Public Library overnight.
The roof of the Church Street structure was blown off by strong winds. Witnesses said it appeared that the roof was "rolled back."
No major damage was reported inside the library and it appears that the roof was the only part of the building that sustained damage.
Crews are on the scene repairing the roof. No time of completion has been set.
