HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A babysitter and the children she was watching were frightened, but uninjured during an armed robbery in North Huntsville Sunday evening.

Police said the 25-year-old woman was at her home in the 200 block of Dormont Drive babysitting when two men knocked on the front door.

When she opened the door, one of the offenders pulled out a hand gun and forced the victim inside while demanding money.

The offender forced the victim and children into the bathroom while the robbers stole property from the home.

The two men fled the scene without injuring the victims.

No arrests have been made and the case remains under investigation. Police have not released a description of the offenders.

Neighbors said it is a quiet neighborhood and they were shocked to hear of the home invasion. Several of them said they were afraid to open the door after hearing about the incident.
