A Limestone County judge will formally charge murder suspect Lamar Anderson during a hearing Monday morning.

Athens Police said Anderson killed Wendy Defoe in July 2011. Officers found her body inside the abandoned Trinity School.

According to court documents, Anderson has a history of assault charges as well as alcohol-related charges and attempting to elude police.

The murder victim had a protection order on Anderson. Neighbors said the two were once a couple and had lived together.
