HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
The Madison County Sheriff's department is investigating a stabbing on Joe Quick Road.
Officials said a fight broke out sometime before 4 a.m. between two men in front of the Citgo on Joe Quick Road and Highway 231.
One person was stabbed and taken to the hospital.
Investigators took a suspect to the hospital to see if the victim could positively identify him.
A salon owner who just opened her business next to the gas station's store said the area is usually safe.
"It doesn't scare me. Because I know security and the county stays up here and they keep us protected pretty good. We don't hear those kind of problems around here," said Molly Jackson.
Jackson and store clerks said the man may have been stabbed up to eight times.
No arrests have been made at last check with investigators Saturday morning. The case remains under investigation.
