Four solo homeruns gave the Huntsville Stars enough offensive firepower to lead them to a 6-2 victory over the Pensacola BlueWahoos on Wednesday night. Leading the way was first baseman Hunter Morris, who hit two solo home runs on the night. The multi-homer game for Morris was his second on the season and the 23-year-old has now hit three homeruns in the first two games of this season. Both left fielder Khris Davis and right fielder Kentrail Davis added solo shots as well. On the pitching side, starter Johnnie Lowe improved to 1-1 on the year after giving up two runs and four hits in five innings of work. The win for the Stars was their fourth straight in a row and their fifth in their last six games.
Game three of a five-game series will take place on Thursday as the Stars will send RHP Josh Stinson (10-5, 3.24 ERA) to the mound. First pitch is at 7:05 PM.
