MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
The Discovery Middle School band director connected to a child pornography case involving his son is set to appear in court for a sentencing decision this fall.
John Nash will appear in court October 18th for a bench trial where a judge will decide whether he is innocent or guilty and proceed with sentencing.
But, a trial date has not been set for Nash's son, John Bradley Nash, a volunteer with the school band. He was charged with electronic solicitation and possession of child pornography at the beginning of July.
John Nash was arrested July 5th after failing to report to police an inappropriate relationship his 24-year-old son had with a 15-year-old student at the school.
Nash is currently on un-paid, administrative leave from Discovery Middle School.
