HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A new hotel will soon replace the Councill Court development in downtown Huntsville.
Homewood Suites by Hilton is planning an $11.5-million hotel.
The city of Huntsville will pay $7.6-million toward a parking garage at the complex.
That garage will serve the hotel along with future offices, shops, and a new Publix grocery store.
"We are excited about the things ... It all works together," said Tom Hunt with PHD hotels.
The hotel will consist of all suites that could be used for extended-stay near the hospital.
