COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

One person is dead after an accident on Gnat Pond Road Saturday morning.

Alabama State Troopers said a 2008 Ford Taurus crashed near County Road 61.

Troopers said 24-year-old Anthony Hankins was killed, and Tomeeka Byrd, 34, was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Officials said Byrd was not wearing a seatbelt.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
