MADISON, AL (WAFF) -
Sci-Quest
officials announced Friday that they will be relocating to Madison.
Officials
said it was in the best interest of the members and customers to relocate to a
more central location in the Tennessee Valley.
The new
location will be at 9076 Madison Blvd. Sci-Quest and the city of Madison are
working to renovate the building quickly. The target completion date is February
of 2013.
Officials said
the move is a start to a campaign designed to develop Sci-Quest into a
state-of-the-art science center.
"Our
community is fortunate to have two hands-on children's museums, EarlyWorks in
downtown Huntsville and Sci-Quest in Madison, and we appreciate the essential
play-based learning experiences that these diverse institutions provide for
children and families," said Mayor Tommy Battle.
Sci-Quest
is currently located at Calhoun Community College of I565.
