BIRMINGHAM, AL (AP) -
First Lady Michelle Obama will be in
Birmingham today to visit a summer camp for children who have been
impacted by disasters. That includes children whose lives were affected
by last year's tornadoes that ravaged much of Alabama.
The camp, known as Camp Noah, is being held in an area of Birmingham hit hard by the tornadoes.
The First Lady toured much of the damage with her husband after the tornadoes last April.
The First Lady will be briefed on tornado recovery by local officials and meet with some of the children affected by the storms.
She plans to attend a fundraising event in Birmingham for her husband's reelection efforts Wednesday evening.
