TUSCALOOSA, AL (WAFF) -
The daughter of University of Alabama
football coach Nick Saban denies allegations that she caused serious
injuries to a former sorority sister.
Lawyers for Kristen Saban on Tuesday filed her response to a lawsuit filed last month by Sarah Grimes.
Grimes maintains in her
lawsuit that the coach's daughter attacked her during a night of
drinking after the two got into a dispute over a Facebook posting.
Saban's attorneys say in
court papers that Grimes lunged at her and tried to choke her. Saban's
lawyers say a witness in the room reported that the coach's daughter was
only defending herself as both women were throwing punches, with not
many landing in August 2010.
Kristen Saban has asked a court to throw out the lawsuit.
