MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A game of chess took a violent turn when one person was stabbed.
It happened at a home on Talucah Road in Morgan County Sunday night.
Authorities said Jessie Leeth and Charles Cox were playing chess when Cox started winning.
Investigators said Leeth got upset, the two started fighting, and Leeth stabbed Cox in the side.
Authorities said both men had been drinking.
Leeth is charged with assault.
Cox is expected to recover.
