JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Jackson County woman was kidnapped from her own home on County Road 317 in the Letcher community on Sunday.

Deputies said her former boyfriend, 71-year-old James Flowers of Woodville, was charged with first degree kidnapping, burglary, and violation of a protection order.

Deputies said they found the 70-year-old woman at her home unharmed.

She told them Flowers broke into her home and then kidnapped her.

"She was tied up, taped up to a stairway rail, and after a short time, the gentleman left the room and she was able to escape," said Rocky Harnen, Chief Deputy in Jackson County.

Officials said Flowers drove to the home and confessed to what had happened.

He's now being held on a $30,000 bond.
