HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A weekend shooting at a Huntsville apartment complex left one dead and three people injured.
Police identified the person who was killed as 18-year-old Darrion Chisholm.
The shooting happened at the Quail Pointe Apartments off Northington Drive within the complex Saturday night.
When police arrived on scene, they found a 17-year-old male on the ground with gunshot wounds to his leg. He was taken to Huntsville Hospital where he died of his wounds, according to police.
Police said 21-year-old Montarious Rooks, 19-year-old Anthony Burnett, and an unnamed juvenile were also shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Neighbors at the apartment complex said they're concerned about an increasing amount of crime popping up in their neighborhood.
"When crime happens that close to home and you have children, the only thing you can do is be concerned for your neighbors, your children, and yourself and what's going to happen next," said resident Christine Young.
The four shooting victims were not residents at the complex. Management said they were visiting a resident. Police investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident and said the investigation is very complex.
Other neighbors said the shooting may have resulted from an attempted robbery to a residence, while others heard it possibly started after a party.
Investigators said one round of bullets went into an unoccupied building during the shooting.
Police have not made any arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
