HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville fire is investigating a possible arson at a vacant restaurant.
A fire broke out at the Mountain View Restaurant on Highway 431 in Owens Crossroads around 7:15 a.m. Saturday.
Three fire trucks were called to the scene. Light smoke was reported and the fire was contained quickly. Some interior damage was reported.
The fire investigator said the back door was forced open before emergency crews arrived on the scene. A small incendiary device was found in the building.
The fire is now being investigated as a possible arson.
The restaurant has been closed for almost five years.
