41 motorcycle gang members indicted for crimes

ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Forty-one members of the Devils Diciples [sic] Motorcycle Gang, including four Alabama men, were indicted for a variety of criminal charges.

Thirty-one members were arrested in Michigan and Alabama Friday. During the investigation, officials seized 60 firearms and more than 6,000 rounds of ammunition. In addition, eight methamphetamine manufacturing laboratories were dismantled during the investigation. 

Among the arrests were Cary "Gun Control" Dale Vandiver of Anniston, Michael "Tatu" Kenneth Rich of Anniston, Dean "Jesus" Edward Jakiel of Jacksonville and Tony "Trouble" Wayne Kitchens of Albertville.

Diciples National President Jeff Garvin Smith and National Vice President Paul Anthony Darrah were also arrested.

The indictments allege the arrestees were involved in a number of criminal acts including violent crime, drug trafficking, firearms offenses, gambling and federal offenses.

The indictment also alleges that the Devils Diciples committed acts involving attempted murder, robbery, extortion, assault and threats of violence to maintain the territory of the organization and to protect the organization and its members.

The Devils Diciples has a number of organizations across the United States. Members are required to own a Harley Davidson and follow orders from leadership.
